Be a Lion for a day then be one forever!
Lincoln PA Day! November 15
Performing Arts Day at Lincoln will give you a taste of what it's like to be a student in the Performing Arts at Lincoln.
You'll take classes in the morning, have lunch together, see a Lincoln musical, rehearse for the performance then give a short recital at the end of day showing off what you've learned while you were here.
Parents are encouraged to stay in the morning for an informal chat with Lincoln admin about the Performing Arts or any aspect of getting into Lincoln. Then come back at the end of the day for our show.
We know that choosing your high school for the next 4 years can be hard. Let us help you make the decision easier and also assist in continuing your education in the arts.

FYI - The information you were sent when you signed up.
Hello and thank you for signing your student up for Performing Arts Day 2024 at Lincoln High School! Students will attend three class periods with our students, so that students can experience a day in the life of a Lincoln Performing Arts student. They will also see a preview performance of our current musical presented by our Theatre Arts Department, entitled "The Olympians." At the end of the day, all students will participate in a performance demonstration for all parents/guardians, to be held in the Lincoln Black Box Theatre from 3:15-3:45 pm.
Lincoln High School is located at 555 Dana Avenue in San Jose, one block away from The San Jose Municipal Rose Garden. Parking can be found across the street from the main building. When you arrive at Lincoln, please check in at the registration desk located in the theatre lobby, which is accessible from the main quad.
The schedule for Friday, November 15 is as follows:
8:45-9:15 am Participant registration
9:20 am Welcome & introductions (for parents/guardians and students)
9:32 am Classes commence; Parents, please stay for a quick informal chat with a Lincoln Principal.
3:15 pm Performance for Parents/Guardians in the Lincoln Black Box Theatre
3:45 pm Students released
A few quick reminders:
1. Please remember to excuse your student from school for this event; we will provide schools a list of registrants, but it is still up to you to excuse your student.
2. Parents are responsible for transporting students to/from Lincoln.
3. All participants will receive free school lunch, but we recommend that you send your student with a bottle of water and a snack.
4. Students should dress comfortably for the day. Dancers should wear appropriate dance attire as needed.
5. IMPORTANT: Instrumentalists must bring their instruments in order to participate with band, orchestra and mariachi class offerings. We do not have instruments for them to borrow. (The only exception to this is Beginning Strings; students taking this class do not need their own instruments).
6. Students are expected to adhere to the behavior standards as set forth by the SJUSD Student Handbook. Those who fail to follow dress code and/or behave poorly will be removed from the event and parents/guardians will be called to pick the student up.
Direct any questions to Danny George: [email protected] or (408) 535-6300. Thank you, and we look forward to meeting you and your student on November 15!
