All about us.
Taking the stageTheatre classes at LHS are designed to provide a well rounded education for those who are headed to Broadway as well as those who are newly interested in the theatre arts. Each year, every student is featured on stage during the annual one act play festival and many students are featured in one or more of the mainstage shows produced each year.
If you are interested in being in a play or musical you can audition for class or either of the musicals. All non musical plays are produced in class. Auditions for next year's classes are in April. Auditions for the musicals are posted online on our calendar and will be in the student announcements. Both classes and productions are open to all students. “I regard the theater as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being. This supremacy of the theater derives from the fact that it is always "now" on the stage.” ― Thornton Wilder |
